2022 European Dam Removal Award Nominees
The Dam Removal Award jury has nominated five projects for the 2022 Dam Removal Award, and now the public is asked to vote on the final winning project. The winner will be announced on Thursday, May 18, 2023, in Manchester, UK during the UK Dam Removal Conference.
One of the top five nominees is the programme supported Molino Del Cabrillas & Molino Bajo weir removal project. Project leaders, AEMS Ríos Con Vida, removed two obsolete dams around 3 m high on the Cabrillas River, within the Alto Tajo basin, a vast area of karstic mountain ranges and fluvial canyons.
