International seminar on scaling up dam removal as a river restoration tool in Europe

On May 19-21, 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal, ANP/WWF Portugal, World Fish Migration Foundation, Wetlands International and The Nature Conservancy will host the 7th Dam Removal Europe seminar. This event will focus on scaling up dam removal in Europe and explore its potential to enhance European freshwater biodiversity. The featured speakers are from the USA and several European countries that will cover best practices and tips from their dam removal experiences. The third day of the event will include a field trip to a barrier with the potential to be removed.

The seminar is part of the global World Fish Migration Day celebrations and will screen the Portuguese premiere of the DamBusters documentary.
