Today, ANP|WWF began work on their first-ever barrier removal – the Galaxes weir in Alcoutim – which will restore the river connectivity of 7.7 km of Ribeira de Odeleite.

In Champagnac-la-rivière, France, the “Les Planches” weir on the River Tardoire has been removed! The work started in December and was completed at the beginning of January.

Five weeks of work at Scotton Weir on the River Nidd in Yorkshire, England has resulted in the full removal of the former barrier, a 75m wide and 4m high structure reconnecting ~35km of river and tributaries.
